MY BLOGGING EXPERIENCE

I must say that I enjoyed writing every Wednesday about our interesting, because I never had to do this, at first I was nervous and wanting do it well, so I had to learn to be patient and try to learn slowly.
In my opinion, I think that this periodic exercise was very good because in spite of we failed at beginning, we really could practice our grammar and way of think in english.
Even thought I know how important is a right writing,  I think that we should spent more time in oral practice, talking more each other. I don't know if we should do more group talk exercises, but I’m really convinced that we needed talk more! Despite the fact that the Miss tried over and over make we talk about our interesting, our families, the news, or our bored and tired weekends.
To my mind the blog was a good alternative to practice english, on one hand because the grammars is an important point inside of the language, on the other hand because we don’t have much time for think, you must write fast and well, so that’s why I think the blog is a good way to speed our mind and develop our abilities.
About the disadvantages, I guess the students (me included) don’t practice enough on their houses, maybe we should not write only on the blog, and come every class with a text about something like an article, a new, something related with a book, anything, like a home work to keep practicing grammar, vocabulary, etc.
Other disadvantages about work with a blog are the online translators, because is very easy take a wrong word, like when I want say something and the word that I use has different meanings and I use the incorrect word for the case, so I finished saying anything very different of what I wanted say at first. But I believe this could be better if I read more and practice my vocabulary.

IDEAL HOLIDAYS

Today I'm going to talk about my favorite holidays.
I really like travel to different places and know about culture of the places, so I guess my favorite holidays would be travel all around Latin America, and visit Machupichu, the Salar de Uyuni, or maybe go to the town of the weaver in Colombia and Guatemala. But the place that I want visit more than the other places is Mexico.
If I would be Mexico I think would like visit the empire ruins, the museum of Frida Kahlo, the different markets, the theatre and the beach, and every place.
On one hand I think that Mexico is a very nice place, it has a lot of different places and the history is important to me. On the other hand the people are very funny and kind.
I think that if we talk about food I'll have other reason to go to Mexico, they have so many different dishes that I want try. And the handicrafts are amazing
Maybe the most important thing to me when I think where I would like travel is the food and the handicraft of the place. If there aren't any to see I don’t want know this place.

A special view

My photograph was taken in San Telmo, B.A while I was in a design meeting with some classmates.

When we hadn't an exhibition we usually go out for a walk or pizza.
One day we decided go to San Telmo to see the famous flea market and get some souvenir.
This photograph was taken while we were covering the different streets. In this photograph there are a music group, they were very young and played different kind of music for long time. They were very good so we and other persons spend a lot of time in this place.
After a while we were hungry, so we decided go for something to eat. We start to walk across through the street and finally we get to San Telmo square. This place was full of people dancing tango, buying things, taken pictures, and eating pasta. We didn't know were eating so when one of us saw a breaded peddler. We bought breaded and start our return to the hostel.
I like this photograph because it remain me the good moments of the travel and the beautiful places we knew.

My best place to eat

I have two places to eat good food.

The first place is J Cruz restaurant, it's in Valparaiso, I knew this place when I was 14 years old and my mother invited me to eat a CHORRILLANA after went to the La Sebastiana, one of the houses of Pablo Neruda... The chorrillana is a food with meat, fried onions, fried eggs and French fries. This is not the healthiest food, but is very delicious. About the place, it is like a museum because there are a lot of different thing around, like figurehead, watches, old cash registers, etc. In addition to this is habitual that the clients write their names, love messages, anything on the tables, walls, furniture and bathroom. Is like a tradition.

The second place to eat good food is the Central Market. In this place there are seafood restaurants and seafood stands.
When I go there I eat at Paila Blanca restaurant, and always eat the same thing, Clams.
It's a fresh and juicy food; they're raw and with lemon and spice are very delicious. I want eat them now...
Well if you don’t like raw food, in this place you can find other cooked food.

Different stereotypes in FAU

Ok, when I got into my career I wasn't comfortable with the stereotypes because  in my generation I had a lot of different people around, some girls likes japans fashion, comics and music, more over they wore stranger cloth, the hair, anything. I remember one of them because she usually uses long nails with shiny colors. That' is why some classmates made fun of her... that wasn't nice.

I also had a dark classmate, he was Felipe, he looks like a rock star, his jeans was a mess, the t-shirts always black and one ring for every finger. Now he use more colors, his jeans are not split and he had a hair cut.
At my second year when I got into industrial design (the first year is common to graphic and industrial design) I meet new classmates, some ones was really nice and makes me feel comfortable, but other persons were very rude and competitive, they don't care about your feelings or friendship, they only want be winners at all. And to get it they were determined to do anything...

I think that the persons who made me laugh were the hippies classmates, they were very relax. Sometimes I spoke them and they couldn't answer because they were "happy" and didn’t even know their names.

MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

My favorite piece of technology is my mp3 player. The fist one that I got was for my 18th birthday. That was poor quality so I could use it for three months, and some day it died. After that my uncle gave me another one, that was better but the same thing happens again, so I decided don't bought another mp3 player.
Last year my brother gave me one, and that was the best gift because it was small, comfortable and it has a lot of memory, so I can take a lot of music with me in every moment.
Now I use it every time, in every place, I can’t stop listening music... All I have to do is put on me the earphone and turn it on to start a new trip. And when that happens I'm the happiest person in the city, I don't care about the people, the homework, nothing is important to me, the music relax me.
If I didn't have a mp3 player I could have the same happiness riding a bike. It's because to me, the bike is another way to forget all the things around us, to breathe in a different way.
And if you're lucky and could take those things together the trip is better.

A good movie

Hello.
Well, I’m going to tell you about “CINEMA PARADISO” an Italian movie that was filmed in 1988 and directed by GIUSEPPE TORNATORE.
This film won the Óscar in 1989, a Golden Globe and another European awards.
The argument is about the life of a respected film director, Salvatore (interpreted by Jacques Perrin) that comes back to his Sicilian hometown for his oldest friend’s funeral. The friend was Alfredo (interpreted by Philipe Noiret), he was the first person who shows to Salvatore the film world, because he was the film projectionist of the Nuevo Cinema Paradiso film of the town when Salvatore was ten years old. And they met each other because they were neighbors and Salvatore was a very restless child.
The film is a sentimental portrait of postwar Italy and a declaration of love to the cinema. Salvatore grows up in the cinema seeing a lot of movies, learning about the life, love, family, and friendship through the films.
Personally, of this movie I really like the music, on one hand is very happy and on the other hand is very sad, but I love it. That’s why a friend gave me a CD with the soundtrack of the movie.
